Transform your upper and lower-body movement while using a tambo from beginner to expert through eight levels of increasingly dynamic game-style instruction. Tambo basic strikes as well as advanced disarms are all in play during this session. Bring a tambo.

Building a community and maintaining a community is very hard work. This class will break down the steps we have taken to ensure we have a community that we are proud of. From fun and games to navigating tough situations this class will have physical activity and discussion portions.
In this class we will work on self-defense combos to a variety of attacks. These are NOT the standard self-defense sets per curriculum, rather combinations of our blocks, strikes, and takedowns that flow together in defense against punch and kick attacks.

A smorgasbord of bo techniques and applications which will enhance and supplement your bo repertoire. Applications will help with future demos and increase the student's dexterity with the weapon. Includes the 'secret' O'Sensei bo strike. Bring a Bo
Cuong Nhu self-defense and aikido share a common approach to learning technique: static positioning of attacker (uke) and defender (nage/tori). However, in aikido particularly the form of the techniques changes when both parties are in motion. This class examines footwork and timing drawn from aikido that are key to the dynamic execution of technique, as well as uke’s responsibility in the training process. This class focuses on avoidance, rather than engagement, with uke. Basic tumbling (ukemi) skills are required. Students should be comfortable with forward and backward roles and side drop.
Learn the kata 'Jutte', which means 'Ten Hands'.
This class will take a couple of throws from each category (beyond curriculum) to show people the safe way to do them. This class is to give candidates and future candidate options.
Instructors: You *can* handle multilevel classes, teach serious martial arts while keeping it interesting and fun, and do it on your own with no help if you have to. Learn principles as well as specific tips & tricks drawn from my - and others' - many decades of experience teaching large classes of all ages and ranks. Bring your own ideas to share, too.
