Whether you’re just learning the kata or want to revisit it to find its hidden gems, this is the class for you. We’ll cover the basics, then play with expression, application, and demonstration of this foundational kata.

Basic blocks, strikes, spins, and locks using one tonfa. Spinning drills will help tonfa student to develop skills before learning Tonfa No.1 Kata (with two tonfas). A single tonfa will be provided free for attendees to take home.

Center line, Oval, Nose-Naval, Spiraling 3-D, rooting and uprooting, and movement are the key areas of the class. Applications and techniques evolve from the principles and concepts.
